Implementation of a Social Housing Project within the Organisation

The diploma thesis focuses on the innovative project, the Real Estate Office for Social Housing, and its implementation in a specific organization. The project is one of the possibilities of solving homelessness, so in the first part I look at this issue from the perspective of the social and housing sector, which is most linked to the project, as well as from a historical and legislative perspective. Then I concentrate on the specific type of support for people in housing need, which the project falls under. The aim of the thesis is to describe the process of implementation, or rather its sub-parts, of the Real Estate Office for Social Housing, and to explain its risks using the organisation theory and the theory of Street-Level Bureaucracy. In the research I have used a qualitative methodology, specifically a design of a case study research. Bachelor thesis deals with the issue of financing the resocialization of homeless people. The aim of the thesis is, based on semi-structured qualitative interviews with representatives of selected organizations working with homeless people, to identify the main shortcomings in the current model of resocialization of homeless people and then, based on the identified shortcomings, to propose a more effective financing model for resocialization of homeless people using the revenues from the tax assignation for pet supplies.

Homelessness and dying

The diploma thesis presents the personal experience of homeless people who have had someone close to them die while living on the streets. It introduces us to their ways of living on the streets, their relationship with their loved ones and the circumstances of their deaths. It reflects on what changed in their lives after the death of their loved one and whether their loved ones had the opportunity to mend their relationships, put things in order and fulfil their wishes before their death. The theoretical part defines basic concepts related to homelessness and concepts related to dying. The practical part contains transcripts of interviews with homeless people who have been in this situation. The final part analyses the interviews. It summarizes that homeless people did not have the opportunity to arrange their affairs before they died, due to the fact that their deaths were quick and unexpected. Their social situation prevented them from doing so and they were not aware of any available services. Interviews show that they expressed a wish to meet their loved ones and try to mend relations with them, which they did not manage to do. Neither their partner nor their friends had the opportunity to say goodbye at the funeral and they were unable to find out if and how the funeral took place. The survivors were...

The diploma thesis deals with the concept of homelessness in the subject of civic education. It contains a selection of data that justify the legitimacy of teaching this topic in civics classes. The didactic part of the thesis deals with the analysis of educational programmes and available teaching materials. The last part of the thesis contains the proposal of aims and specific didactic activities that facilitate the implementation of the topic of homelessness in civic education. Forgotten Women. A Radio Documentary Concerning the Gender Aspects of Homelessness among Women

This thesis, complemented with 32-minute long radio documentary, focuses on the gender aspects on women's homelessness. Women often have to face difficulties that lagerly differ from men's homelessness, specifically when it comes to hygiene, violence, motherhood, seuxal violence and drug abuse. Testimonies of social services employees and experts in the field are intended to outline the complex issue, but also to introduce the solution - services that specialize in women's homelessness. The practical part is above all based on interviews with three homeless women, which are intended to provide authentic insight into the phenomenon. As sources, I will use available academic literature and other public sources, as well as interviews with experts that were specifically created for the purposes of this thesis.

Homelessness as a historically created phenomenon and current state of homelessness (possible health and social conditions of existence).

The bachelor thesis focuses on the issue of homelessness. The aim of the thesis is to map the current situation and identify the causes of homelessness in České Budějovice. This topic is examined from the perspective of the homeless and the organizations dedicated to this issue in the city. The theoretical part of the thesis is divided into two sections. The first section outlines the genesis of homelessness from its first occurrence to the current state in the present day world. The second section of the theoretical part focuses on a general description of homelessness and the services involved in addressing this problem. A qualitative approach was chosen for the research section, and data was obtained through a semi-structured interview technique with social workers from 5 helping organizations and a total of 6 homeless individuals. The research results closely mapped the current situation and causes of homelessness in České Budějovice. The study provides a comprehensive view of the issue of homelessness and allows for an understanding of how organizations perceive this phenomenon and how they improve the quality of life for these individuals. This bachelor thesis can improve awareness of this issue and support discussions on potential solutions. Analyzing this social problem can help workers in institutions and organizations better understand this situation and improve their professional strategies. Additionally, it can provide information on the needs and experiences of homeless individuals and help them improve their situation. This thesis can also be useful for further research and studies in this field.

Debt trap as a couse of homelessness

The thesis deals with the correlation between debt trap and homelessness. This is a theoretical work. The first part of the thesis informs about basic financial terms and concepts and financial literacy of the Czech Republic population. The second part describes the phenomenon of homelessness. The forms of homelessness, causes and consequences of homelessness and also pathological aspects associated with homelessness are listed and described here. The last part od the thesis offers solutions to both indebtedness and homelessness. Organizations helping homeless people are described in detail, the most important of which is the non-profit organization the Salvation Army. The thesis also provides information about the Merciful Summer event and presents forms of debt management and new legislation in favor of indebted individuals.
